Sound Yoga

‘Enter your inner temple and consult the great Guru who accompanies you everywhere, and ask him to show you the way.’

Pancham Sinh 1915

The Yoga of Sound is called Nāda Yoga. Nāda is the sound or vibration that has always existed and from which creation was birthed. Yoga, in it’s full, ancient entirety, is all about becoming the most complete version of oneself. And this is, of course, the same process that Jung described as Individuation.

Nāda Yoga is the process of penetrating more deeply into one’s awareness through focussed listening, both internally and externally, and using the healing power of the voice.

In both one to one sessions and group settings I lead sound meditation through deep listening, gradually opening into gentle voice work and simple Vedic mantra practices. You don’t have to be a singer or know anything about mantra to benefit. I explain everything and keep it uncomplicated. These practices are very relaxing and joyful! They lead to a stiller mind, a more embodied presence and ultimately a clearer connection to our own inner state of reality. We become more able to listen to ourselves. In one to one work I can help you establish a practice of Sound Yoga to support you on your quest to be more present to life and to yourself. Ultimately this allows us to start living more authentically.
